Greetings and salutations to all my readers. Am keeping busy at the end of the year working on the novel Beyond the Abyss (which is set in the Fiji Islands, Paris, Washington, D.C., Saudi Arabia, and Diego Garcia, among other places), staying active in the creative writing program at Stanford University, and making preparations to leave the Middle East for Oregon on December 31.
